Irene E. Nordwich Foundation Awards

The Irene E. Nordwich Foundation provides awards to undergraduate and graduate students registered in the College of Nursing, University of Manitoba, and to graduate students in the Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing, Western University. To date, the Foundation has funded more than 400 nursing students and more than $1 million dollars have been distributed to awardees. The awards are intended to: 

  • Support academic excellence;
  • Recognize student leadership and involvement within their nursing program, university, the nursing profession, and/or community; and
  • Ease the financial burden of a university education.
 

Undergraduate Student Awards

The value of Undergraduate Student Awards is $3,000, although this amount may be adjusted at the discretion of the Foundation. The Foundation also determines the number of awards allocated in any given year. 

  

Graduate Student Awards

The value of Graduate Awards is $2,000, although this amount may be adjusted at the discretion of the Foundation. The Foundation also determines the number of awards allocated in any given year.

The Foundation is not accepting applications currently.  Please check this website mid-May for an announcement in this regard.  The Foundation apologizes for all inconveniences.
